With their Colour tables now a signature of Karimoku New Standard, designer duo Scholten & Baijings adapt the same basic concept for a companion side chair. Using sustainably sourced, low-diameter thinning timber brings a new challenge to the Japanese company’s carpentry skills as small laths or strips of oak are painstakingly assembled to form the sculptural wooden shell. Apropos for both residential andcontract use, the seat is upholstered with a Kvadrat fabric designed by Herzog & de Meuron and offers outstanding seating comfort.
